York Minster Library & Archives Reprographic Services

York Minster Library & Archives is able to supply copies of material from among its holdings in a variety of formats (see price list below). Order forms are available online in each category, in the reading room or on request by contacting us.

• All prices below include VAT.
• Delivery within the UK is charged at an extra £2.35, delivery outside the UK at an extra £5.
• There is a minimum charge of £5 (excluding postage) on all posted orders.
• All orders must be paid for in advance. A pro forma can be issued on request.
• All cheques and money orders need to be made payable to the Dean and Chapter of York.

Photocopies and Microform

Photocopy requests need to be made a day in advance for pick-up from the Library. If you are making a photocopy request from the Archives, please allow two weeks processing time. If you are sending a request for photocopies to be mailed to you, please allow two weeks for delivery

For microform requests please allow a month's processing time for your order. If you are sending a request for microform to be mailed to you please allow two weeks for delivery on top of the month processing time.

Photocopies

• A4 black and white photocopy: £0.25 (University of York staff and students: £0.10)
• A3 black and white photocopy: £0.30 (University of York staff and students: £0.15)

Microform printouts

• A4 black and white printout: £0.25

Photographs and Microfilm

For photograph requests please allow two weeks processing time. If you are sending a request for photographs to be mailed to you please allow two weeks for delivery on top of the two weeks processing time.

For microfilm requests please allow a month's processing time for your order. If you are sending a request for microfilm to be mailed to you please allow two weeks for delivery on top of the month processing time.

We shall email you back to inform you of the collection date.

Microfilms

• Copy of existing film: £110
• New film: £220 minimum charge (£0.70 per frame)

King's Book of Heroes

The King's Book of Heroes contains the names of those men born in York, or resided within the boundaries of the city, who were killed at the time of the Great War of 1914-18, whether in action or training, or died as a result of their wounds.

York Minster Library holds a photocopy of the original book, currently in York Minster, and welcomes reproduction requests of individual entries, which are made using the Book of Heroes original microfilm.

Please allow two weeks processing time for any photographic request of the Book. If you prefer the photographs to be mailed to you please allow two weeks for delivery on top of the two weeks processing time.
