Philip Moore presented with Cross of St William

Philip Moore, who has been Master of the Music at York Minster for 25 years and will be retiring later this month, was yesterday presented with the cross of St William from the Archbishop of York, The Most Revd and Rt Hon. Dr John Sentamu.
At the end of the Sung Eucharist service yesterday, Sunday 6th July, Dr Sentamu presented Philip with a specially commissioned Wedgewood bowl which has been engraved with his qualifications and achievements. John Mohin, Director of Wedgewood also took part in the presentation.
Philip was also presented with the Cross of St William which is given by the Archbishop of York to those who have made a special contribution to the Province of York.
