Open Day at Minster Stoneyard

York Minster Stoneyard is holding a free open day on Friday 15th August. The Stoneyard, located at 4 Deangate, York, will be open to members of the public from 09.30am to 3.00pm. This will be a wonderful opportunity to see the Minster craftsmen at work in their carving and masonry workshops.
There will be demonstrations of stone sawing and shaping machinery throughout the day, and free guided tours of special areas such as the plaster cast museum and drawing shop.
People are also invited to visit the 'Experts Corner' and ask our carpenters, electricians, gardeners and scaffolders questions about their specialised work at the Minster.
