Tours of the Stoneyard and East Front Scaffold

These tours, are available for group bookings only and due to safety the number of places on each tour is limited.  

Each tour lasts approximately two hours and begins in the Stoneyard itself, taking in the setting out office, the masons' and carvers' workshops and the saws and tools used to prepare the stone.

The tour progresses to the East Front, where after ascending in the hoist, it is possible to see the work being carried out on the Minster, as well as some fantastic views of York.
