Philip Moore's compositions, 1957-2007
Philip Moore, Organist and Master of the Music of York Minster from 1983, is one of the leading composers in the Anglican Church of the last 50 years. His works are sung regularly in almost all cathedrals and in the churches that boast a competent choir, including in the United States of America, the Netherlands and in Australia.
He has kindly assented to the first publication of the complete list of his compositions here on the Minster website. It is with pride in his many achievements that we present, as downloadable files, the fruit of 50 years of composing, to date a total of over 400 pieces.
The five sections, Anthems, Cantatas and Songs, Carols, Instrumental Pieces and Music for Worship can be found to the left of this page under Useful Documents.

Dr Francis Jackson
Francis Jackson, Organ Emeritus of York Minster, is one of the most widely performed church composers of the 20th century in the Anglican Church. One will usually find at least one of his works figuring in our cathedrals and large parishes church in each monthly music list.
A complete list of his works is now available on this webpage under Useful Documents. We are grateful to Banks Music Publications for permission to publish it here. They write:
"Francis Jackson is not only a prolific composer himself, he has for the last 35 years been a champion of other British composers through his work as General Editor of the Eboracum Choral Series published by Banks Music Publications."
