The Church Year
York Minster's pattern of worship is shaped by the seasons of the church's year, and by many 'one off' services.
You can find out more about the church's year by clicking on 'What happens when and why'.
The Minster is used by a huge variety of organisations for special services. These often commemorate anniversaries, or are based round themes and issues. Recent services have been held for groups ranging from Marie Curie Cancer Care to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, and the Normany Veterans Association to the North East Circuit Legal Service.
In January 2007 Taizé Common Prayer took place. Please see the article in the "Useful Documents" column on the left hand side of this page for more information on Taizé Worship.
